چکیده

The intestinal evacuation and maximum daily consumption of two formulated diets with different lipid content (6 and 10%) was examined in juvenile grass carp at 28°C. Fish were fed formulated diets to satiety and removed at 1 hour interval for intestine weighing. The study showed that both diets were evacuated from intestine in 12h and the process of evacuation was expressed by linear regression. In the later study of maximum daily consumption, fish were fed formulated diets to satiety four times in a single day. The sum of diet consumption in the day was recorded. The experiment was repeated in 4, 7, 10, 13, 16, 19, 22 day by the same fish. The result showed the maximum daily consumption of two formulated diets is 3.64 ± 0.23 % body weight (416.79 ± 28.84 J/g.d -1 ) and 3.75 ± 0.16 % body weight (481.73 ± 19.44 J/g.d -1 ).

Sixty days feeding experiment was conducted on grass carp fry fed isocaloric diets with variable protein levels in order to evaluate its growth response. Different diet ingredients were analyzed for % age protein, % age fat, % age ash, % fiber, % age moisture contents and energy. Five isoenergetic (17.91 ± 0.02 Kg MJ ) and isolipidic (8.56 ± 0.09 g) diets with varying protein levels PL1 (20%), ...

Effect of adding probiotics into the rearing tanks of grass carp (Ctenopharyngodon idella) for the exploitation of Artemia urmiana, Artemia fransiscana and Artemia parthenogenetica Nauplii

Bacillus spp. are Gram-positive spore-forming bacteria used commercially as probiotics in the larviculture of fish. Bacillus spp. can act positively on cultured organisms by enhancing their survival and growth, stimulating their digestive and immune systems, and improving water quality. In this present study, grass carp larvae were fed on Artemia urmiana, Artemia fransiscana and Artemia parthen...

Chemiluminescent response of grass carp (Ctenopharyngodon idella) following exposure to sublethal concentration of diazinon

Chemiluminescent response of grass carp (Ctenopharyngodon idella) was assessed to determine the effect of various concentrations of diazinon on the phagocytosis of grass carp in order to evaluate the fish immunity after exposure to this toxic chemical. One hundred and twenty specimens with individual weight of 850±155g were exposed to various concentrations of diazinon at 1, 2 and 4mg/L provide...
